Overview
AML/CTF compliance in Slovenia.
Slovenia regulates AML/CTF through the Office for Money Laundering Prevention, which is both its financial intelligence unit and its central supervisory authority under the Prevention of Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Act (ZPPDFT-2), with Banka Slovenije, the Securities Market Agency, and the Insurance Supervision Agency supervising their own sectors. As an EU member state and MONEYVAL member, Slovenia transposes the EU Anti-Money Laundering Directives aligned with the FATF standards.
Obliged entities must run customer due diligence on customers and beneficial owners, keep records, monitor transactions, and report suspicious activity to the OMLP. Supervisors expect a documented compliance framework, a named responsible officer, and continual staff training.
MemberCheck helps teams meet these obligations by screening customers and entities against global sanctions, PEP, and adverse-media data, verifying identities, and monitoring risk continuously, with a clear audit trail behind every decision.
